The Dahl House and Whitney J. Designs is a boutique design company devoted to creating quality hand painted products for the home.  We are located in New York City but inspired by quaint Connecticut.

The inspiration for the work comes from a love of color and design and the traditional interiors I was exposed to while growing up in Wilton, Connecticut.  My training includes a degree in Textiles from Syracuse University with a specialization in color mixing, matching and application in addition to painting on traditional and non-traditional surfaces.  After college I began my career as an interior designer but quickly found that my heart was more with the colors and fabrics than the home as a whole.  I began painting picture frames and now my product line also includes waste cans, tissue box covers and other home accessories.

I have always enjoyed coordinating accessories in a room and now I am providing them for you.  Because our products are hand painted no two are alike.

My dream, The Dahl House, is now a reality.  I look forward to your continuing interest as my collections fill boutiques and homes across the country.
